After developing a strong personal practice over about 10 years, I underwent the transformative experience of 200-hour teacher training at South Hills Power Yoga. Since completing my training, I have taught in several libraries and studios, and have been teaching several types of yoga including basics, power yoga, restorative, and mommy and me classes. By teaching yoga, I am constantly reminded that if we are open, we are all always students. Through my teaching I hope to build mindfulness, compassion and strength in my students as I learn new ways to cultivate these in myself. My style of teaching is meditative and encouraging, with a focus on alignment, awareness, and breath as we move through interesting poses or transitions. Connecting with my students is as important to me as connecting with myself, and learning with them is as exciting for me as it is for them. When I'm not teaching or doing yoga, I am doing neuroscience research, playing with my kids, or eating/cooking/thinking about food.

    Are there other meditation based class times available during the week and weekend?
